Denise Miller Holmes is Director of Words for the Journey Christian
Writers’ Guild, where she enjoys teaching writers how to write.
She also loves exploring biblical topics, and especially researching and
communicating what Christians believe about the world around them. She
sometimes turns established viewpoints on end.
Even though she loves literature and wanted to major in English lit, she
chose to major in Journalism at the University of Southern California,
which awarded her a B.A. degree in 1980. In 1991, she completed her
Masters courses in Counseling Psychology.
For the past two years, she has been teaching lessons to writers’ groups
on the fine art of fiction writing, as well as holding bi-monthly
seminars on the same subject in her home…with great reviews.
Currently, she explores Christian thought on her website RedHotRead.com
and is writing two primers in fiction writing, with plans to
self-publish them as Kindle e-books.
